Aaron Judge is taking a leadership role by pressuring the Yankees to overhaul their roster after another disappointing exit. His public demand for an 'all-in' approach signals his urgency to secure a title in his prime.
Judge missed the postseason with a calf injury and is now looking ahead to 2027 For the third time in their last three postseason trips, the New York Yankees were eliminated at home Wednesday night. The Yankees dropped Game 3 to the AL East rival Tampa Bay Rays and were swept in the best-of-five ALDS. New York again piled up wins during the regular season, then wilted against equal or better competition in the postseason. Perhaps the outcome would have been different if reigning two-time AL MVP Aaron Judge had been able to play, or perhaps not. Judge was relegated to spectator during the postseason due a lingering September calf injury. Following the Game 3 loss, Judge implored the team's brain trust to go all-in this offseason, and improve the roster however they can. "We're the Yankees. I feel like they should go all-in and do what they need to do," Judge said. "And if we got holes, it's finding certain players or personnel, whatever we need, we got to go out there and get it. That's why I signed back here to play with the Yankees, is to fight for a championship every single year and go all-in. That's what I do every offseason is to get ready to give this team and this city everything I got. So I expect them to do the same." Aaron Judge was asked if he thinks the Yankees' front office has gone all-in enough:

Portland Trail Blazers won't have Ja Morant in the lineup for a few weeks after injuring his hamstring. Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant reacts after the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect The Portland Trail Blazers are shaking their heads after losing starting point guard Ja Morant to a hamstring injury that will sideline him for at least a month. Morant showed signs of strength during the first four games of the season, but left the team's most recent contest against his former Memphis Grizzlies team and did not return. Some members of the Portland Trail Blazers On SI staff explained how Morant's injury and absence will affect the team. Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson drives to the basket against Memphis Grizzlies forward Jerami Grant. | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect "The Blazers will need to rely on the backcourt depth they have at their disposal. Though the number of guards on the roster was seen as a negative heading into the season, that abundance can now prove itself as a calculated advantage by the front office. "Scoot Henderson will need to improve on what has been an underwhelming start to his campaign after looking like a potential breakout candidate in the preseason. Hopefully, with extended minutes and an expanded role, Henderson can develop a rhythm similar to what we saw at the tail end of last season." — Sahal Arwo
Greetings, Falcoholics! Friday's practices have come and gone, and we now have an update on the health of both the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons have had a lengthly injury report all week, and there's some notable names to keep an eye on prior to Sunday's game. As mentioned, and as you can see, the Falcons have a pretty long injury report on Friday. Several players have been designated as questionable to play, but only one has been officially ruled out: running back Brian Robinson. With Robinson being held out due to his ongoing hamstring injury, expect a heavy dose of Bijan Robinson and some reps for Khalil Herbert. A key name that popped up on Friday's report was right guard Chris Lindstrom, who is dealing with a personal matter that kept him off the practice field. He has no game designation, so it's expected that he will be out there on Sunday. The big news for the Buccaneers on Friday was that wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has been ruled out with a concussion and foot injury.
