LeBron James doesn't feel he has yet hit his peak with the Philadelphia 76ers. "I'm still adjusting. Eight years in LA... I am adjusting, still," James told NBA on Prime's Steve Nash ahead Friday night's NBA Cup opener against the visiting New York Knicks. "But I think every day, every week, every month, I'll continue to get better and better. My body will continue to ramp up, and the play will get better." James, who signed a two-year deal to join the Sixers this offseason, put up 20.9 points per game in his final campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.8 steals in his first four appearances with the 76ers. James is playing 33 minutes a game, but managed his workload by sitting out the first game of a back-to-back last week. The Sixers would especially benefit from James increasing his production Friday considering the absence of Jaylen Brown, who was ruled out ahead of the game due to a left knee injury. The Sixers will look for more production from James while Dean Wade and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope potentially increase their playing time in the short term.
