The Baltimore Ravens are expected to get quarterback Lamar Jackson back for Sunday's matchup against the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Jackson has missed the Ravens' past three games after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. The quarterback returned to practice last week in a limited capacity before being ruled out for their Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. After returning to the field this week as a full practice participant, barring a setback Jackson is poised to make his return on Sunday. "The more you're able to do and respond from and feel from certainly raises your optimism," said Ravens head coach Jesse Minter when asked if Jackson was trending towards playing in Week 8. Jackson explained last week that the biggest factor in whether he would be able to play was not so much the level of swelling but how much of the pain he could deal with. Jackson's importance to the roster is on display every time he takes the field. According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, the Ravens have scored 14 touchdowns in the 14 quarters the quarterback has played this season. In the 14 quarters without Jackson, Baltimore has only found the end zone five times. Some members of the Portland Trail Blazers On SI staff explained how Morant's injury and absence will affect the team. Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson drives to the basket against Memphis Grizzlies forward Jerami Grant. | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect "The Blazers will need to rely on the backcourt depth they have at their disposal. Though the number of guards on the roster was seen as a negative heading into the season, that abundance can now prove itself as a calculated advantage by the front office. "Scoot Henderson will need to improve on what has been an underwhelming start to his campaign after looking like a potential breakout candidate in the preseason. Hopefully, with extended minutes and an expanded role, Henderson can develop a rhythm similar to what we saw at the tail end of last season." — Sahal Arwo
Greetings, Falcoholics! Friday's practices have come and gone, and we now have an update on the health of both the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons have had a lengthly injury report all week, and there's some notable names to keep an eye on prior to Sunday's game. As mentioned, and as you can see, the Falcons have a pretty long injury report on Friday. Several players have been designated as questionable to play, but only one has been officially ruled out: running back Brian Robinson. With Robinson being held out due to his ongoing hamstring injury, expect a heavy dose of Bijan Robinson and some reps for Khalil Herbert. A key name that popped up on Friday's report was right guard Chris Lindstrom, who is dealing with a personal matter that kept him off the practice field. He has no game designation, so it's expected that he will be out there on Sunday. The big news for the Buccaneers on Friday was that wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has been ruled out with a concussion and foot injury.
